About the editors

Le Charlot Guide is an editorial publication about Paris café culture, written by a small team that walks the Marais rather than aggregating other people's listings. Every guide here is built from visits: tables sat at, coffees paid for, opening times read off the door rather than copied from a booking widget somewhere else.

Accuracy is maintained by revisiting, not by correspondence. The guide keeps no reader mailbox and runs no contact form, so nothing here invites mail that would go unanswered. Prices drift, hours change and kitchens close for August, and each piece is rechecked on the ground and dated when it changes, which is the honest version of staying current.

One practical note to save a wasted message: this site is not the café, and the team cannot see its bookings. Questions about tables, group reservations or menus at the corner of Rue de Bretagne belong with the café itself, whose own website is linked from the visiting guide along with hours and directions.
